Clowder Summer 2026 Product Update: Smarter Communities, More Flexible Events, and an Even Better Member Experience

This summer, we're excited to introduce a collection of enhancements that make Clowder communities more engaging, event management more flexible, and administration more efficient.

Across the 4.6 and 4.7 releases, we've focused on improving some of the platform's most-used experiencesโ€”from a complete redesign of Forums to expanded content targeting, new event administration capabilities, and dozens of client-driven enhancements requested by our customers. Along the way, we've also delivered important usability improvements, performance updates, and stability enhancements across Web, iOS, Android, and iPad.

Bring member engagement into the modern era with Clowderโ€™s mobile app. Schedule a Demo.

A Reimagined Forums Experience

One of the biggest updates in this release is a complete redesign of the Forums experience, making it easier than ever for members to discover conversations, participate in discussions, and stay engaged with their communities.

The refreshed experience introduces redesigned community and discussion pages, an improved discussion creation and reply flow, easier editing for discussion authors, richer support for images and file attachments, and enhanced moderation tools. Members can also follow discussions more easily, receive improved notifications, and automatically bookmark discussions they create so important conversations are always easy to find.

Administrators also benefit from streamlined management tools for both communities and discussions, making moderation and content oversight more efficient.

Why It Matters: Strong communities thrive on conversation. These improvements reduce friction for members while giving administrators better tools to manage engagement and encourage meaningful discussions.

Challenge Addressed: Community discussions can quickly become difficult to navigate as participation grows. This redesign modernizes the experience, improves discoverability, and creates a more intuitive workflow for both members and administrators.

More Flexible Content Targeting with Multi-Group Support

Organizations often need to share content with multiple audiences without duplicating their work. Clowder now supports assigning News Feed posts, forum categories, and polls to multiple groups simultaneously.

Administrators can create content once and deliver it to multiple targeted audiences, simplifying content management while ensuring members receive the most relevant information.

Why It Matters: This saves administrators valuable time while improving content relevance across diverse member communities.

Challenge Addressed: Previously, content targeting required additional manual effort when information needed to reach multiple groups. Multi-group support streamlines content distribution and reduces duplication.

Enhanced Event Management

This release introduces several new capabilities that give event administrators greater flexibility before, during, and after their events.

Highlights include:

๐Ÿ’  Manual registration of attendees into sessions directly from the Admin Panel

๐Ÿ’  Visibility into event registration status within Event Manager

๐Ÿ’  The ability to hide the Add to My Sessions button when appropriate

๐Ÿ’  Manual sort ordering for event and session action files

๐Ÿ’  Improved session filtering to display only sessions a user is registered for

Together, these enhancements provide administrators with more control over attendee experiences while simplifying event management workflows.

Why It Matters: Event teams can better tailor registration and agenda experiences to meet the unique needs of each event.

Challenge Addressed: Administrators often need greater flexibility to accommodate different event structures and registration models. These enhancements make event configuration more adaptable without increasing complexity.

Continued Investment in Mobile & iPad Experiences

We're continuing to enhance Clowder across every device.

This release includes expanded iPad support with improved sidebar navigation, refreshed interface elements, smoother animations, and numerous usability refinements. Mobile users also benefit from improvements to forum editing, image viewing, agenda performance, and 1:1 Meeting reliability.

Why It Matters: These updates ensure a more polished and consistent experience regardless of platform.

Challenge Addressed: Creating a seamless cross-device experience helps members stay engaged wherever they access Clowder.

Stronger Event Integrations

Organizations using iMIS can now benefit from enhanced event check-in and check-out integration.

Check-in and attendance activity can now be integrated more seamlessly, improving synchronization between Clowder and iMIS while reducing administrative effort.

Why It Matters: Integrated systems help eliminate duplicate work and improve confidence in event attendance records.

Challenge Addressed: Organizations relying on external association management systems need smoother data flow between platforms to support efficient event operations.

Client-Driven Enhancements

Many of this quarter's improvements came directly from customer feedback, including:

๐Ÿ’  Deep linking directly to surveys

๐Ÿ’  Group selection during News Feed post creation

๐Ÿ’  Phone number quick actions for calling, texting, or copying

๐Ÿ’  Directory searches that preserve search position when navigating back

๐Ÿ’  User flag visibility during 1:1 Meeting scheduling

๐Ÿ’  Enhanced client export capabilities for administrators

๐Ÿ’  Separate configuration options for sub-session chips

These enhancements help organizations work more efficiently while improving everyday member interactions.

Reliability, Performance & Platform Improvements

Alongside new functionality, we've continued investing in platform stability and performance.

Recent updates include:

๐Ÿ’  Improved 1:1 Meetings reliability

๐Ÿ’  Better News Feed security for restricted content

๐Ÿ’  QR Hub improvements for event staff

๐Ÿ’  Improved forum editing experiences on iOS and Android

๐Ÿ’  Faster Admin dropdown interactions

๐Ÿ’  Enhanced push notification monitoring

๐Ÿ’  Expanded analytics tracking to provide deeper insight into platform usage

๐Ÿ’  Numerous quality, maintenance, and bug fixes across Web, iOS, Android, and Admin

Every release reflects our ongoing commitment to helping organizations build stronger communities, deliver exceptional event experiences, and simplify administration.

We're excited to continue building on these improvements and appreciate the valuable feedback our clients provide along the way. Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to evolve Clowder and create even more engaging digital experiences.
