Our Story

Clowder was established in 2017 to address a common engagement gap in professional communities. We knew early on we had a mobile platform like no other, one that could instantly propel organizations into modernization. Our story, however, goes beyond developing amazing apps—it's always been about connection. 

The name “Clowder” is most often used as a collective noun for a group of cats, but its history evokes the idea of coming or huddling close together. Since we strive to bring people closer to those within their industry, to their trusted news and resources, and to the groups that matter most to them, this name aligns well with our platform’s goal.

In 2023, Advanced Solutions International (ASI), a leading global provider of cloud software and services for associations and nonprofits, acquired Clowder as part of its growing family of innovative solutions to help purpose-driven organizations make a greater impact.
